What You’ll Do

  • Provide hands-on personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shampooing, dressing, skin care, toileting assistance, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment
  • Assist with changing bed linens and supporting daily living activities
  • Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, pulse oximetry, and blood pressure (as ordered and competency-validated)
  • Perform simple procedures as an extension of nursing services (with proper training and competency validation)
  • Assist patients with self-administration of medications as permitted
  • Observe and report patient conditions and any significant changes to the supervising nurse or case manager

Qualifications

  • Current CNA certification in the state of practice
  • Meets all training requirements and successfully completes competency evaluations
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Current CPR certification (or equivalent as required by regulations)
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance
